Slither is free for all battle arena type game and definitely one of the more popular io games around currently; here you play as a snake in an agar.io like world and try to gain size whilst taking out other player-controlled snakes. Around the map are tons of small food orbs to collect which will slowly but surely increase your snakes size, you can also gain size quicker by consuming an enemy snake. The objective of this game is ultimately survival but some of the more competitive snakes also aim to be the biggest and baddest mother trucker out there by reaching a top spot on the leader board. There is also the math version of slither.io used in schools. It's slightly different than the normal game, but it's still a version of the slither.io game that you can play unblocked at school.
In Slither no matter how big you are you can always eat or be eaten by a bigger/smaller opponent, its all about how you path which can make you either a dangerous encounter or snake food. To take out another player you need to make the head of their snake collide with your body whilst avoiding crashing into someone else yourself; its important to remember that once a snake dies they will turn into an amount of food orbs relevant to their size which can be eaten by ANYONE, so eat up fast to make sure nobody else benefits from your hard work! Your snake is fully controlled through mouse movement, its head will follow your cursor across the screen. Your snake can also be sped up using the space bar however this will gradually shorten your snake if used for too long and drop the size lost in food orbs behind your tail.
Q: The ioGround devs have released a slither.io unblocked proxy site that actually works at school! Does it actually work?
A: Yea, this slither.io proxy works and is unblocked at my school, but slither.io can still be laggy as hell. it's even more laggy than I remember back years ago.
Q: Which one of the worm / snake io games came first, was it slitherio or did one of the others get released first?
A: Slither.io was definitely first snake io game. It became massive so quickly because it was first. Afterwards, there were and still are a ton of clones. Some of the keep the term snake in their game names, others will use worm.
Q: How has slither.io not received any updates whatsoever? I feel like all the other snake io games I've played have gotten way more advanced littlebigsnake and wormax for example.
A: Meh, its hard to say. Probably because the slither.io devs just decided that the game was finished and players seemed to enjoy it enough to keep playing it. Its still crazy popular years later with no updates so I guess it works. I know what you mean though, most other popular io games get updates constantly, like surviv.io for example.
Q: Is there a way that I can play slither.io with my friends? slither doesn't seem to have a server selector like some of the other io games.
A: Not without a chrome plugin. The big one is slitherplus, it lets you change the game zoom and other stuff too. Not sure if the slither server selector still works but you should give it a try.
Q: Slither lags like hell when I try to play, anyone else have this issue?
A: My school laptop is pretty low end and slithero runs fine, maybe try using adblock or check the wifi signal is good.
Q: How do I boost? I see people boosting all the time
A: Boost is space.
The official ioGround proxy is a Chrome Extension that can be used to unblock Slither.io so you can play at school or work. The proxy is similar to a VPN extension except it's optimized for unblocking .io games and only works on ioground.com.
